Review of “Against the Tide”

This year, I discovered Elizabeth Camden, and quickly became captivated by her incredible novels.

First it was With Every Breaththen The Lady of Bolton Hillnow Against the Tide.

A sequel to The Lady of Bolton Hill, Against the Tide is set in the 1890’s and introduces us to Lydia Pallas, an immigrant, orphan, and translator for the U.S. Navy. But when Lydia begins working for the mysterious Alexander Banebridge, her perfectly ordered life begins to fall apart.

Well-written, filled with information, and centered around an intelligent, brave, and vibrant female character, readers are sure to enjoy Against the Tide. It is a book I look forward to reading again many times!

I would give Against the Tide an “A”, and highly recommend it.
