I had never heard of Sheila Walsh until my Mamma started talking about a book she wanted to read called The Storm Inside.
About the same time, I was given the opportunity to read and review The Storm Inside. From the very first chapter I knew that God had brought this book into my life, just when I needed it most.
In each chapter, Walsh discusses feelings that often overwhelm us– from fear to insignificance, and counters the lies we so easily believe, with what God’s Word says. Using deeply personal stories from her own life, as well as other women in her life, Walsh will make you laugh, cry, and think.
The Storm Inside is a beautiful and necessary reminder that our identity is found in Christ, and it is not our past that defines us, but rather our Savior. Walsh shares the truth that we can lay every burden at the foot of the Cross, and rest in the love of our Lord.
I found The Storm Inside to be a touching and encouraging book, and would highly recommend it, particularly to Christian women. I would give it an “A”.
